SHILLONG, SEPT 3: District Magistrate East Khasi Hills Abhilash Baranwal has banned flying of drones in Shillong city on September 7 and 8 in view of the Vice President’s visit.
As per the prohibitory order issued under Section 163 BNSS, a no-drone zone with 3 km radius has been declared around the State Central Library, which is the venue of the function, and Lok Bhavan, the place of stay.
The order, issued ex-parte due to urgency, will remain effective till September 8.
