SHILLONG, AUG 25: Over 96,000 ST students will get Rs 93 crore as Umbrella Scholarship on August 27, Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma announced on Tuesday.
Calling it “good news specially for the students”, Sangma said the amount is 40% of the total scholarship.
The remaining 60% is being pursued with the Tribal Affairs Ministry and will be released soon.
