SHILLONG, AUG 24: Deputy Chief Minister Sniawbhalang Dhar on Monday said the NPP will miss Dr W R Kharlukhi following his resignation, but clarified that there is no rift in the party.
Dhar, who is also the national vice president of the NPP, said he came to know about the former Rajya Sabha MP’s resignation from the party president.
“As a party and as his friend, we will miss him. He has not cited any reason for resigning,” he said.
Maintaining that the exit will not impact the NPP, Dhar said such churn is part of politics.
“There is no conflict at all. In politics, people come and go. Sometimes one goes and hundred come, sometimes hundred go and one comes. We keep getting new friends while some old friends leave. As a friend, I will miss him,” he added.
